Is Hairy Tarantula legit?
Hairy Tarantula has traded from 3456 Yonge Street, Toronto for many years, selling Magic, Pokémon, Warhammer, board games and RPGs. Its Yelp listing (checked 23 Sep 2026) carries 20 reviews with a mixed record — praise for a knowledgeable, welcoming Magic: The Gathering community sits against complaints about disorganised, dusty stock and, on some visits, unfriendly staff — echoed by a BoardGameGeek forum thread describing a positive experience there. Worth noting: a separate 'Hairy Tarantula West' location shows as permanently closed on Yelp — a different, discontinued branch, not this Yonge Street shop closing.

What this shop stocks was read from its own website on the dates shown — each date links the page it was read from. A dash means we could not establish it either way, not that the shop does not sell it. Ranges change; check with the shop before ordering. We identified hairyt.com/ as this shop's site because: Directory row has no url and gives only Toronto, Ontario. Web search for 'Hairy Tarantula Toronto website' surfaced hairyt.com, whose own listed address (3456 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON) matches the row's city; the site is a working Shopify storefront (cart, CAD prices, stock counts) selling MTG/Pokemon/Warhammer/board games/RPGs, matching the directory's description.
