Your share link
The list is stored in the link itself — no account. Whoever opens it sees prices for their own country.
How the 40k army builder works
Pick your faction from the photos, or start straight from a Combat Patrol. Then swipe through the faction's kits and boxes, each with its points and price, and add the ones you want to field; the search box finds any kit the row does not show. Each line in your list shows its matched-play points and the cheapest in-stock price in your country, with a buy button, and the totals keep a running count of both against your points limit. Where a box you have not added would cover several of your kits for less, the builder says so and shows the arithmetic. The whole list lives in the link, so there is no account: copy it and share it, and whoever opens it sees the same list priced for their own country.
Where the points come from
Matched-play points from Games Workshop's Munitorum Field Manual, updated 28 September 2026 (11th edition). Each kit is priced at its own starting strength, and where a second or third copy of a unit costs more, the list charges the higher figure.
A kit that builds more than one unit shows the average until you pick a build. A kit or box we hold no points for makes the total "at least", and the line says so — the page never fills a gap with a guess.
What it does not do
It holds names, points and prices only: no datasheets, rules, wargear or enhancements, and it does not check that a list is legal. Prices are the cheapest offer per line from the shops we track; delivery is not included.

40k army builder questions
Is the 40k army builder free?
Yes. There is no account and nothing to sign up for: the whole list is stored in the link, so sharing the link shares the list.
Where do the points come from, and how current are they?
Matched-play points from Games Workshop's Munitorum Field Manual, updated 28 September 2026 (11th edition). Each kit is priced at its own starting strength, and where a second or third copy of a unit costs more, the list charges the higher figure. Where we cannot be sure of a figure the total says "at least" or "about" rather than guessing.
Does it check my list is legal?
No. It holds names, points and prices only. It does not check detachments, enhancements, wargear or the rule of three, so check those in the official app before a game.
How are the prices worked out?
Each line is priced at the cheapest in-stock offer in your country from the shops we track, and the total adds those up. Delivery is not included. A line nobody sells in your country, or that is sold out, is left out of the total and named.
How much does a 2,000 point 40k army cost?
It depends on the faction and the units, so build it above: the total updates as you add each kit, in your currency. Typical figures by faction are on our Warhammer army cost page.
