The Dark Eldar - raiders and torturers from a hidden city, who fight from open-topped skimmers at breakneck speed.
The Drukhari are the cruel half of the aeldari, sustaining themselves on other people's suffering. The force is built from three strands: Kabalite warriors with poisoned rifles, the acrobatic Wych cults, and the flesh-sculpting Haemonculus covens with their grotesque creations. Visually they are sleek, bladed and barbed, and the skimmers are among the best-looking vehicles in 40,000. Painting them is a gloss-and-edge exercise rather than a weathering one - most schemes lean on rich dark colours, sharp highlights and a lot of exposed skin. Small model count per unit and large, flat vehicle panels make it a good army for anyone wanting to practise smooth blends.
On the table: The fastest army in the game and among the most fragile - it hits hard from transports and cannot afford a stand-up fight.
