Helsmiths of Hashut

1 box set · 9 kits we track

Chaos duardin who worship a bull-god of fire and industry, fielding slave-driven war machines and centaur-bodied elites.

The Helsmiths are the Mortal Realms' infernal industrialists: dark-bearded duardin in tall hats and iron masks, driving hobgrot slaves ahead of them and dragging rocket batteries and daemon-fired engines behind. Bull Centaurs and Daemonsmiths lead them. The range is compact and unusually characterful, which makes it a manageable project - there is no vast horde to grind through, and the war machines are genuine centrepieces. The palette almost writes itself: black iron, hot metal, molten glow and gold. It is a superb army for anyone who wants to try object source lighting, because half the models are already glowing from a forge or a furnace, and the effect is expected rather than showy.

On the table: A slow, heavily armoured force built around artillery and war engines, with expendable slaves screening the elites.
