Horus Heresy Legiones Astartes

3 box sets · 109 kits we track

The Space Marine legions of the Horus Heresy - massed power-armoured infantry in the older marks, fighting each other.

This is the heart of the Horus Heresy game and it plays quite differently from a modern marine army. Legions field large tactical squads rather than small elite ones, older armour marks from Mk II through Mk VI, and a tank park of Rhino-hulled vehicles the later setting has largely forgotten. For a collector the appeal is uniformity and scale: twenty-marine squads in one legion's colours, banners, transfers and freehand markings, and the civil war conceit that lets you paint two armies you actually want. Whichever of the eighteen legions you choose sets your palette, and the plastic kits make a large force realistic in a way the old resin range never did.

On the table: A massed infantry army - large squads, supporting armour, and firefights decided by weight of bodies rather than elite units.

Priced separately:Alpha Legion, Blood Angels, Dark Angels, Death Guard, Emperor's Children, Imperial Fists, Iron Hands, Night Lords, Sons of Horus, Space Wolves, Thousand Sons, Ultramarines, White Scars, Word Bearers, World Eaters
