A Hive Tyrant, the synapse creature a Tyranid swarm forms up around, at C$76.49 against a C$81 RRP — one model, so C$76.49 is both the price and the rate. The Tyranid Swarm Battleforce puts a Hive Tyrant among 30 models for C$263.50, which averages C$8.78 a model — cheaper across the box, but not a cheaper way to get the Tyrant alone.
Hive Tyrant is a Tyranids kit that builds 1 model. We track it at 2 shops, from C$76.49 at Cataclysm Collectables on eBay to C$92.87 — a difference of C$16.38 on the same kit. Games Workshop list it at C$81.00, so the cheapest price we track saves C$4.51. Tyranid Swarm: Battleforce costs C$98.80 more than this kit on its own and adds C$137.20 of other kits.
