The Imperial Fists built the Emperor's palace walls and have been holding lines ever since. They are the chapter of fortification, artillery and refusal to move, with a reputation for enduring what other chapters would withdraw from. Their yellow is one of the most talked-about painting problems in the hobby, and it is worth being honest about it: yellow needs a light undercoat and thin coats, and rushing it looks bad. Get past that and it is one of the boldest armies on any table - the colour reads instantly from across the room. Contrast and speed paints have made it a far more approachable project than it once was.
